ArtCraft Paint’s Trip to EAA’s 2022 AirVenture!

Our EAA AirVenture 2022 Recap!

This year’s AirVenture was one for the books in more ways than one! We were finally able to shed some light on a project we have been working on since February, awards were won for our clients, Teresa spoke on a panel and of course, we had our share of cheese curds. Before we fully dive into our week in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, we want to thank everyone who joined us at our booth to chat or stopped to talk with us on the grounds!

Kyle Fowler's Long EZ with Lumilor paint

Not only an EAA first but World’s First!

ArtCraft Paint has worked on some amazing projects like Kirby Chambliss’s Zivko Edge 540 to Erick O’Connor’s F1 Rocket but we have never been a part of a world first before!  We have been working with Kyle Fowler from GO EZ Aerobatics since February on his Long EZ to really set it apart from the rest. It started with a nonsymmetrical paint scheme and transformed into something much more. The night airshows at AirVenture were the debut of not just an EAA first, but the world’s first Lumilor aircraft! If you’re unfamiliar with Lumilor, it’s a pretty cool technology. Lumilor is an electroluminescent lighting system available as paint or vinyl that can illuminate any product without changing its form or function. This project was a labor of love as it had its trials and tribulations but for the end result, it was all worth it!

Erick O’Connor’s F1 Rocket

We helped with an Oshkosh win!

We mentioned Erick O’Connor’s F1 Rocket earlier but there’s exciting news! Our friend won the Outstanding Design Award at EAA’s AirVenture! We love to see the success of our clients and he deserves every part of it!

Teresa Arredondo at the Innovative Latina Industry Professionals Panel

Representation is everything

If you didn’t know, ArtCraft Paint is a woman-owned business! Teresa Arredondo has worked hard to get into the position she’s in and she is an absolute inspiration to many women in the aviation industry. During AirVenture, she spoke at the Innovative Latina Industry Professionals Panel where she brought insight into what it’s like to work in the aviation industry and how future women can set themselves up for success.

Whew, what a week!

While our stay in Oshkosh is over, we want to thank everyone again for your support and for stopping by to see us! If you have any questions about our aircraft painting services, contact us or request a quote! If you’re near Santa Maria, California, please stop by, we’d love to chat!
